Overview
We are working with a specialist engineering consultancy based in Chesterfield who are looking to bring a Mechanical Design Engineer into their growing design team. This is a great opportunity for someone with early career experience in design engineering to take the next step, with full training and support provided.
Responsibilities
* Producing detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks
* Supporting the development of new designs and modification of existing products
* Working closely with senior engineers on live projects from concept through to completion
* Assisting in prototyping, testing and ensuring designs are fit for manufacture
* Liaising with production and project teams to resolve design challenges
Qualifications
* Degree, HND, or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* At least 1 year’s experience in a mechanical design role
* Proficiency in SolidWorks and confident with 3D modelling
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
* A proactive approach with good problem-solving ability
