The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Dental Hygienist to join us on a Tuesday for 12 months, on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care while enjoying clinical autonomy in an inclusive and professional environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Provide high-quality hygiene treatments, including scaling, root planing and preventative care
2. Carry out detailed patient assessments and maintain accurate clinical records
3. Use modern equipment such as EMS Airflow, Cavitron and intra-oral cameras with confidence
4. Educate patients on oral hygiene and periodontal health in a clear, supportive way
5. Maintain strict infection control and sterilisation procedures
6. Work closely with dentists and colleagues to ensure seamless patient care
7. Manage your clinical diary effectively to optimise patient flow
8. Contribute positively to a supportive, team-oriented environment
9. Stay up to date with ongoing professional development
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
10. Current HCPC registration
11. Enhanced DBS clearance
12. Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
13. Proficiency with modern dental equipment and software
14. Strong understanding of infection control protocols
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
16. Flexible and adaptable approach
Desirable:
17. Experience in private practice
18. Knowledge of periodontal treatment approaches
19. Familiarity with dental software systems
20. Commitment to CPD and ongoing learning
21. Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues
