The Senior Website Editor at HL plays a key leadership role in managing and evolving the content strategy and editorial standards across the company's digital platforms. This role ensures that all website content is accurate, engaging, compliant, and aligned with the brand's tone and strategic objectives. The Senior Website Editor leads a team of Website Editors and collaborates closely with stakeholders across marketing, compliance, and digital teams to deliver a seamless and impactful user experience for new and existing audiences, with clear CRO objectives to achieve.
What you'll be doing
* Leading the editorial strategy and content planning for the HL website, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Managing and mentor a team of Website Editors, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Ensuring all website content is compliant, user-centric, and optimized for SEO and accessibility.
* Collaborating with product, marketing, and compliance teams to deliver timely and effective content updates.
* Maintaining editorial governance, including tone of voice, style guides, and content workflows.
* Monitoring content performance using analytics tools and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
* Supporting digital campaigns and product launches with high-quality web content.
About you
* Proven experience in digital content management and editorial leadership.
* Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail and consistency.
* Experience managing and developing editorial teams.
* Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
* Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing workflows.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Understanding of financial services or regulated industries is desirable.
* Marketing, communication or similar qualification preferred.
Working Schedule
This role is based in our Bristol head office (BS1 5HL) and we offer a hybrid working pattern, with a minimum of two days in the office per week.
