As a Trainee Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. You will work within the healthcare department while completing your Dispenser training (NVQ2). Your role will involve building relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs, greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, and providing advice to support informed health and wellness decisions. Your responsibilities include:
1. Completing your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
2. Dispensing prescriptions safely, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
4. Providing care and advice to patients about medicines and referring queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
5. Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure safe and legal dispensing.
6. Staying updated with new innovations and complying with operational processes.
7. Supporting patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
8. Working with evolving technologies to improve patient safety and efficiency, with ongoing training and development opportunities, including potential progression to Pharmacy Technician or store leadership roles.
Minimum requirements:
* Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
* Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
Preferred experience:
* Experience working in community pharmacy.
The hourly rate for this role is £12.60, increasing to up to £14.13 across selected London locations after 6 months. Additional benefits include:
