£12.60 - £13.60 per hour, depending on experience
The Sidcup offers nursing and residential care, both long‑term and short‑stay care. The purpose‑built home boasts modern comforts, including dining rooms, lounges, a cinema lounge, well‑maintained gardens, a hairdressing salon and a private lounge for family events. Residents enjoy nutritious meals prepared by a chef who tailors menus to individual dietary needs. The home also provides a variety of social and recreational activities, such as quizzes, bingo, film afternoons, board games, arts and crafts, tai chi, holistic massage, aromatherapy and trips to local attractions. Weekly GP visits and specialist visits by physiotherapists and chiropodists ensure comprehensive medical care.
Key Responsibilities
* Support residents with a wide range of requirements, from companionship to personal care.
* Observe and manage residents’ behaviour with care, documenting and reporting any changes in accordance with legislation.
* Support residents’ nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink following their care plan.
* Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
* Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.
What We’re Looking For
* Motivation, positivity and great interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Desirable: Previous experience in a care home or a Health and Social Care qualification.
