Advanced Social Worker - Learning & Disabilities Team
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative recruitment agency, has a new permanent position for an Advanced Practitioner within the Adult Learning & Disabilities Team in Swindon. The salary for this role is up to £48,474 per annum.
Responsibilities include:
1. Undertaking assessments, determining care packages/support plans, and managing a large, complex caseload to promote wellbeing, in line with service procedures and legislation. Providing supervision and support to colleagues.
2. Participating in and chairing meetings with internal/external partners, including Best Interest decision-making, CHC panels, etc.
3. Managing a small caseload using person-centred practices to support individuals' wellbeing and positive risk-taking.
4. Handling complex, high-risk situations with negotiation and diplomacy involving individuals, families, and staff.
5. Promoting high-quality social work practice, adhering to statutory responsibilities, evidence-based practice, and professional standards (HCPC).
6. Providing support and development opportunities for team members and addressing performance issues.
7. Offering operational advice to managers and directors on social work issues.
8. Contributing to the development of best practices in social work.
9. Providing statutory support, including assessments, support planning, safeguarding, and advice for adults with care needs and their families.
10. Demonstrating independent judgment, problem-solving skills, and conflict management.
11. Working collaboratively with health, education, voluntary sectors, and other partners to coordinate support.
Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification or equivalent
* Understanding of relevant legislation
* Registered or eligible for registration
