I am looking for a Personal Assistant / Carer to join one other existing PA to share the workload, to provide cover and allow my husband to have some spare time.
I am bed bound following a stroke, and can only move my head, have almost no communication and am PEG fed.
My current personal care is provided by a care company and my husband and one other PA. General responsibilities of a PA for me include some personal care working with the care company staff or my husband, hand washing, hair washing and providing company.
You will receive:
1. A rate of pay of £13.38 per hour
2. A pension if eligible
3. 5.6 weeks per year pro rata
4. Full certificated training on all aspects of the role
Hours available:
5. 18 hours per week usually working Monday – Friday between the hours of 1.00pm-5.00pm
6. There is the opportunity to work additional hours on occasions in relation to holidays and sickness.
What’s Required:
7. Provide assistance with some personal care, general domestic duties, hand and hair washing.
8. Flexibility in working hours essential.
9. Emergency cover availability would be appreciated.
10. Daily support with use and care of a suction machine and PEG machine is required occasionally. Training will be provided.
11. An enhanced DBS check, the cost will be met by the Employer
