At Marks & Spencer, we’re evolving to become a faster, leaner, and more digital-first retailer. Our Internal Audit & Risk team is central to this journey, providing independent assurance and actionable insights to the Audit Committee and senior leadership.
As an Internal Audit Manager, you’ll work across all areas of our business - from Food and Clothing & Home to Supply Chain, Technology, and International – helping us identify risks, improve processes, and deliver sustainable change.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What You’ll Do
Your key accountabilities will include:
* Lead audits end-to-end, delivering robust risk assessments and commercially focused recommendations.
* Partner with senior stakeholders across M&S to influence decisions and strengthen governance.
* Coach and develop team members, supporting recruitment, onboarding, and professional growth.
* Monitor and report audit actions, highlighting emerging risks and systemic issues to drive improvement.
* Shape and deliver the annual audit plan, flexing scope to reflect transformation priorities and championing innovation through data analytics and technology-enabled auditing.
Who You Are
Your skills and experience will include:
* Qualified Auditor (ACA/ACCA or IIA preferred) with 4 PQE experience in Internal Audit.
* Strong knowledge of risk and control frameworks, audit methodologies, and report writing.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
* Experience in retail or complex, multi-channel operations is advantageous.
* Exposure to transformation programmes, regulatory compliance, or emerging risk areas is desirable.
* Familiarity with data analytics or technology-enabled auditing is a plus.
