Overview
You will be responsible for providing specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and therapeutic interventions for service users in receipt of in-patient mental health care. You will work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including medics, psychologists, nursing staff and physiotherapists.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and therapeutic interventions for service users in-patient mental health care.
* Develop and implement individual treatment plans and goals in collaboration with service users and the MDT.
* Manage your own caseload and support others through supervision where required.
* Adopt recovery-based approaches, using evidence-based models (e.g. MOHO) to inform practice.
* Deliver a range of 1:1 interventions and therapeutic groups as appropriate.
* Collaborate with the MDT and external providers to meet service user needs.
Qualifications and Skills
* Highly motivated, innovative and compassionate Occupational Therapist with excellent communication and interaction skills.
* Sound clinical decision-making abilities and a willingness to develop professional competencies within a stimulating learning environment.
