Peripatetic Chef – Central Scotland
Salary: £33,280 + paid mileage (full driving license with your own vehicle is essential)
Hours: 40 per week (8:30am–5pm, including weekends)
Location: Covering 15 care homes across Ayr, Glasgow, Inverclyde, Forth Valley, Fife & Edinburgh

As a Peripatetic Chef, you’ll travel across our care homes, supporting teams to deliver nutritious, high-quality meals that make residents feel valued and cared for. Every day is different – you’ll plan menus, cater for specialist diets, and lead teams to uphold the highest standards in food safety and hospitality.

What we’re looking for:
7. SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Professional Cookery.
8. Food Safety/Hygiene Qualification at Level 3/Intermediate or above.
9. Experience in kitchen management including COSHH and HACCP policies.
10. Minimum 4 years’ experience professional cooking (Care Home setting preferred).
