Carlton Group Practice is the largestPractice in East Staffordshire currently serving circa 17,800 patients over twosites approximately 2.5 miles apart in the heart of Burton on Trent.
This role is based between our two surgeries, Carlton Street Surgery and King Street Surgery. However, we have received NHSE approval for a new build surgery based on the Outwoods site opposite Queen's Hospital.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP to join and enhance our established clinical team consisting of 6 Partners, 6 Salaried GPs, Paramedic, Pharmacy and Nursing Teams supported by a Business / Operational Management Team, Care Co-ordination and Administration Teamwho all share our core value to facilitate high quality personalised patientcentred care to our local community.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be highly driven, innovative, proactive and passionate about primary care. You will share our ethos to provide and maintain high quality clinical care in an ever changing environment and will help to shape and drive future development of the Practice.
We are ideally looking for a part time Salaried GP to cover up to 4-6 sessions per week.

Job responsibilities
The followingare the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may be on occasion, arequirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factorssuch as workload and staffing levels:
Thedelivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population.
Theprovision of services commensurate with the GMS contract.
Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance.
Effectivemanagement of Long-Term Conditions.
Processingof administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeatprescription requests and other associated administrative tasks.
Ona rotational basis, undertake Telephone Triage and Duty Doctor roles.
Maintainaccurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidance.
Identify,implement and embed best Practice through clinical guidelines and the auditprocess.
Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives withinthe Practice.
Actively assist in the achievement of Practice and PCN based contractual targets.
Attendand contribute effectively to Practice meetings as required.
Ensurecompliance with the appraisal process.
Prepareand complete the revalidation process.
Committo self-learning and share in the ethos of continuing professional developmentacross the Practice team.
Contribute if required to the training of Medical Students from all clinical disciplines.
Reviewand adhere to Practice protocols and policies at all times.
Encouragecollaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a cultureof continuous improvement at all times.

Qualifications
* Qualified GP
* MRCGP
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
