An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Injection Mould Toolmaker to join a well-established precision engineering company specialising in plastic injection moulding and tooling. With decades of experience, they offer end-to-end manufacturing services.
As an Injection Mould Toolmaker, you will be working with advanced machining equipment and be responsible for the manufacture, modification, and repair of high-precision injection mould tools.
This full-time role offers a salary range of £35, - £40, and benefits.
You will be responsible for:
1. Producing and modifying injection mould tools to high tolerances
2. Operating manual milling machines, lathes, and surface/cylindrical grinders
3. Utilising CNC and manual spark erosion equipment
4. Programming and operating wire eroders for complex tooling
5. Fitting and assembling new tooling components to specification
6. Conducting repairs and modifications on mould tools as required
7. Troubleshooting hot runner systems, including wiring and fault finding
8. Working with a range of hand tools to complete fine finishing tasks
What we are looking for:
9. Previously worked as an CNC Turner, CNC Machinist, CNC Operator, ToolMaker, Tool Maker, Toolroom, CNC Setter, Injection Mould Toolmaker, Injection Moulding Operator, Injection Moulding setter, Toolroom Machinist, Toolroom Technician, Tooling Technician or in a similar role.
10. Prior experience in injection mould toolmaking
11. Skilled in milling, grinding, tool fitting and general precision machining
12. Proven background in the assembly and maintenance of complex mould tools / injection mould tools
13. Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to exact tolerances
14. Have knowledge of preparing new Mould Tools for Production
15. Strong problem-solving capabilities, particularly with tool faults and repairs
