We are built on collaboration and mutual support, with a vibrant, inclusive culture where your ideas and contributions are valued.In this role you will be based at our facility in Enstone, Oxfordshire.The Role Alpine Formula One Team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Engineer to champion occupational safety and environmental best practices across our cutting-edge motorsport and manufacturing operations. This is your chance to be part of a high-performance team where safety, sustainability, and innovation drive everything we do.Key ResponsibilitiesAs our HSE Engineer, you will be the subject matter expert in occupational safety engineering, ensuring compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting comprehensive risk assessments across all operational areas
* Developing and implementing safe systems of work and safety procedures
* Enhancing the safety awareness and competence of managers and employees
* Delivering safety-related training and identifying ongoing training needs
* Monitoring compliance with HSE legislation and internal policies
* Investigating incidents and near misses, recommending corrective actions
* Maintaining accurate records of inspections, audits, and reports
* Liaising with external regulatory bodies and ensuring statutory reporting
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business
* Conducting HSE inductions for new team members
* Promoting environmental protection and supporting EDI goals
What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for a proactive, solution-focused individual with a passion for safety and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have:
* NEBOSH Certificate and IEMA Foundation Certificate (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in occupational safety, ideally in manufacturing or motorsport
* Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and risk management
* Experience developing and implementing safe systems of work
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Ability to influence a positive safety culture and environmental awareness
* Strong organisational and time management capabilities
