Management Accountant Salary: £47,347 (Full-Time Equivalent) Contract Type: 12-month Fixed-Term Contract Hours: Part-time (22.5 hours per week) Role Overview We are seeking a commercially aware and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a finance team on a fixed-term basis. This role focuses on delivering high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and insights to support business performance and decision-making. This is a hands-on position combining technical accounting expertise with strong business partnering and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts with clear commentary and insights Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations Deliver detailed variance analysis with actionable recommendations Support budget holders in understanding and improving financial performance Maintain strong balance sheet control and ensure financial accuracy Build effective relationships with non-finance stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement of financial reporting and processes Support ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required Skills & Experience Required Minimum 1 year experience in a management accounting role Studying towards or qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail Ability to interpret and communicate financial data to non-finance stakeholders Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines Proactive and commercially minded approach What’s on Offer Competitive salary (pro rata) Generous annual leave plus bank holidays Employer pension contributions Life assurance and wellbeing benefits Free parking and subsidised on-site facilities Professional development and training opportunities Supportive and collaborative working environment
