Duties of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
* Diagnosing vehicle faults using state-of-the-art diagnostic systems such as BMW ISTA and Autologic
* Conducting routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
* Performing complex repairs, including timing belt replacements and system diagnostics
* Conducting vehicle inspections and test drives to assess performance
* Completing accurate service records and documentation
* Adhering to health and safety protocols and company procedures
* Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional image
Requirements for the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician role:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in vehicle diagnostics and mechanical repair, ideally within a prestige brand environment
* Full UK driving licence
* MOT Tester licence or willingness to obtain one
* Strong diagnostic skills, particularly with BMW ISTA and other diagnostic tools
* Proven ability to perform complex repairs, including timing belts and system diagnostics
* Qualification of City and Guilds AVCE, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent
* Own toolkit sufficient for vehicle repairs and diagnostics
* Excellent attention to detail, problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently
