Associate Medical Director (Remote) Pay Rate: £61.31 per hour Location: Remote (with up to 25% travel) Contract: 1 year contract initially with scope for extension and to be made permanent Right to Work: Must be legally authorised to work in the UK (no sponsorship) About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Medical Director to support the development, evaluation, and safe delivery of innovative medical device solutions. This role plays a key part in shaping clinical strategy, supporting product development, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical governance, safety, and scientific integrity. You will provide expert medical insights, oversee clinical study activities, and act as a key medical resource to internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to make an impact by: Providing medical insights to support product development, risk assessments, and customer‑facing discussions. Overseeing the design, execution, and analysis of clinical studies for product approvals and post‑market surveillance. Conducting medical monitoring during clinical trials, including safety data review and assessment of adverse events. Offering expert medical input into complaint management activities. Building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders and industry experts to gather clinical insights. Collaborating closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing to align clinical and business objectives. Ensuring all activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and clinical guidelines. Contributing to the development and delivery of internal and external medical education. Providing medical review and guidance for marketing, promotional, and educational materials. Supporting scientific communication and evidence‑generation strategies. Skills, Experience & Requirements Essential: MD or equivalent medical degree (active registration preferred). At least 5 years of clinical experience; experience with medical devices beneficial. Experience in Medical Affairs within the medical device or healthcare industry. Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and clinical research principles. Knowledge of medical device regulations. Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex clinical concepts. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven approach. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Preferred: Advanced postgraduate qualifications (e.g., medical, science, management). Experience in medical device development or clinical trial oversight. Additional language skills. Work Environment Remote role, with occasional domestic or international travel (up to 25%).
