Description
As a Client Accounting Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the Accounting and Settlement (A&S) financial targets for designated Business Units (BUs). Your role involves building and maintaining excellent relationships with Accounting Teams and relevant Stakeholders to maximize cash flow, meet client settlement requirements, reduce exposure, and enhance customer service. You will manage the accounting relationship with key clients, acting as the focal point for queries and escalated matters from the Accounting team and stakeholders. The role is hybrid, based at the Ipswich office.
The Role
* Build and maintain ongoing relationships with clients, BUs, and A&S Teams in Ipswich and Mumbai.
* Provide strong visibility within the BUs to facilitate query resolution.
* Facilitate regular meetings with the BU, preferably face-to-face, to achieve successful outcomes.
* Remain vigilant and responsive to urgent activity, ensuring appropriate escalation to the Sr Manager and BU.
* Manage metrics to ensure all actions are taken to achieve targets.
* Proactively manage designated key clients alongside the Account Controller; identify and resolve issues promptly within the agreed timeframe. Be the primary A&S contact for key issues affecting clients, requiring BU assistance. Maintain regular contact with the Account Controller to coordinate next steps.
* Oversee and manage bad debts, actively working to reduce the bad debt position.
* Support Mumbai on escalated issues, ensuring training gaps are addressed through the Team Leader and Tech Leader.
* Share knowledge to upskill colleagues as needed.
Qualifications
The Requirements:
* Ideally a background in Financial Services or Insurance.
* Experience in credit control environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for negotiating challenging issues at organizational levels.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Impact and influence skills, including remote influence to meet targets.
* Understanding of escalation procedures and effective communication routes.
* Ability to plan and manage workload efficiently, prioritizing effectively.
* Good knowledge of internal and external processes.
* Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements.
* Experience in query and issue resolution.
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
