Clinical Service Lead – NMP/IP
Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £68,000 per annum
Full-Time, Permanent
Monday-Friday (1x Clinical, 4x Supernumerary)
Are you a qualified Independent Prescriber with a passion for clinical excellence and leadership? We are hiring on behalf of a respected health and social care provider for a Clinical Service Lead role based in Sheffield.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to step into a senior leadership position within a high-performing substance misuse service. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team, shape clinical practice, and directly improve the lives of people on their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the clinical team, offering supervision and strategic clinical guidance.
* Provide expert input to multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions and clinical decision-making.
* Ensure clinical delivery meets best practice standards and complies with all regulatory requirements.
* Champion a holistic, person-centred approach to care, supporting individuals in achieving their recovery goals.
* Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence across clinical service delivery.
* Engage in peer support networks, CPD opportunities, and ongoing professional development.
* Contribute to research and service innovation within the field of substance misuse and complex needs.
* Promote a culture of ethical practice and clinical accountability.
About You
* Qualified IP/NMP with valid clinical registration (NMC/HCPC)
* Demonstrated experience leading or managing clinical teams (Including Prescribers)
* Able to operate confidently within an MDT environment, using evidence-based approaches.
* Knowledge of health inequalities and substance misuse treatment pathways
* Strong clinical judgement, leadership ability, and passion for service improvement.
* Familiarity with governance, safeguarding, and compliance within health or social care settings.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
