Broster Buchanan are proud to be working on behalf of a well-established accountancy firm located just outside of Preston, who are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Clerk to join their growing team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of payroll clients within a busy payroll bureau, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong payroll knowledge who enjoys working in a professional, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a variety of clients.
* Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations including RTI submissions, auto-enrolment, and statutory payments.
* Liaising directly with clients to resolve payroll queries.
* Preparing and distributing payslips, P60s, and other payroll documentation.
* Supporting the payroll manager with ad-hoc tasks as required.
About You
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and processes.
* Payroll bureau experience beneficial.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Experience with payroll software (such as Sage, BrightPay, or similar).
* CIPP qualification (or working towards) desirable.
