The Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with complex needs Assist with personal care, mobility, and feeding where required Support learning activities tailored to individual education plans (EHCPs) Use communication tools such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory strategies Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly PMLD, SLD, or complex autism A calm, patient, and empathetic approach Willingness to support with personal care Strong communication and teamwork skills Relevant qualifications or training are desirable but not essential A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners INDSEN
