The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, with a minimum qualification of Level 2/3 or equivalent.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the management of technical operations within our facilities management division.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSupervision and Leadership:\n\nLead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and technicians.\nProvide training, support, and development opportunities for team members.\nConduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as necessary.\nMaintenance and Operations:\n\nOversee the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems, plumbing, elevators, and other mechanical infrastructure.\nDevelop and implement preventive maintenance programs.\nEnsure timely and efficient response to mechanical system failures and emergencies.\nProject Management:\n\nPlan, coordinate, and manage mechanical projects from inception to completion.\nPrepare and manage budgets for mechanical projects and maintenance activities.\nCollaborate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.\nCompliance and Safety:\n\nEnsure all mechanical systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations.\nImplement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.\nConduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.\nTechnical Expertise:\n\nProvide technical guidance and support to the team and other departments.\nStay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices.\nRecommend and implement improvements to mechanical systems and processes.\nDocumentation and Reporting:\n\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, project progress, and compliance status.\nPrepare detailed reports for senior management on mechanical system performance and project outcomes.\nEnsure proper documentation of all mechanical systems and equipment. \n\nQualifications and Skills:\n\nMinimum of Level 2 mechanical qualification \nStrong supervisory/management experience\nPrevious experience on a critical site or high end commercial building \nProven experience in a supervisory role within facilities management or a related field.\nStrong understanding of mechanical systems, regulations, and safety standards.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.\nProficiency in relevant software and tools.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.Benefits:\n\nCompetitive salary of Up to £55,000 per annum.\nOpportunities for professional development and career advancement.\nComprehensive benefits package including pension, healthcare, and more.\nDynamic and supportive work environment.\nOpportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and projects.If you are a motivated individual with a passion for technical excellence and facilities management, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
