Booking.com is seeking a FinOps Cloud Analyst to join our team in Manchester, United Kingdom. This role involves analyzing and managing cloud expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, collaborating with engineering teams to optimize costs, and supporting operational tasks related to our internal customers. The analyst will also deliver comprehensive reports to FinOps leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyze cloud infrastructure spending regularly and identify cost drivers and anomalies.
2. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement cost optimization recommendations.
3. Work with FinOps product managers to deliver cloud budgets and reports, presenting findings to finance and engineering leaders.
4. Support internal customers with cloud forecasting and cost anomaly mitigation.
5. Maintain FinOps documentation in standard formats for use by the product team.
6. Resolve and log queries through internal communication channels.
Qualifications & Skills
1. Experience in optimizing spend across Public Cloud (AWS preferred, GCP valuable).
2. Knowledge of native cloud cost management tools and third-party platforms like AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth, Apptio/Cloudability.
3. Strong communication skills tailored to various audiences.
4. Experience working with technical operations, DevOps, or Cloud Operations teams.
5. Nice-to-have: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or FinOps Certified Cloud Practitioner.
