Are you passionate about caring for critically ill children and sharing your expertise with others? The Faculty of Nursing Education and Research is offering a maternity cover opportunity to support teaching on Paediatric Critical Care courses (Level 1 & 2 High Dependency and Level 3 Intermediate/Advanced).You’ll help plan, prepare, and deliver teaching, moderate assessments, and provide learner support. Full mentorship is available, and flexibility is offered. This role can be full-time or split between courses (minimum 0.4 WTE).Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparing and delivering evidence-based teaching
2. Supporting assessments and maintaining PCCS standards
3. Working collaboratively with the Faculty team
4. Providing pastoral and educational support

·To work in as a member of the Faculty of Nursing Education and Research within the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) and wider region, ensuring quality and high standards of Critical Care are maintained through the coordination and educational development of Registered Nurses who provide this level of care to children
In conjunction with the Faculty of Nursing Education and Research (FNER), plan, implement and evaluate programmes of education and training to ensure an appropriate level is achieved and to promote and maintain standards of care in accordance with the latest evidence, Unit and Trust policies
In conjunction with the PCC L1&2 and PCC L3 Course Leads, be responsible for planning, delivery and quality assurance of these courses, ensuring that the high standards which are set by the Paediatric Critical Care Society quality group (EQA) are met.
Co-ordinate with other senior nursing posts strategic views on educational planning for addressing service need development and new nursing roles
