A Catholic High School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and fully qualified Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join its committed team from September 2025, on a temporary to permanent basis.
This mixed 05–11 primary school is a welcoming and inclusive community, rooted in Gospel values and principles. The successful candidate will:
* Teach Religious Education across Key Stages 1 and 2
* Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, compassion, and moral reflection
* Uphold and promote the Catholic ethos and values of the school in both curriculum and pastoral roles
* Contribute to the spiritual life of the school, including participation in liturgies, assemblies, and other faith-based activities
* Support pupils’ academic and personal development, encouraging them to reflect on ethical, spiritual, and social issues.
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
* Have experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people through faith and philosophy
* Be fully supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school (practising Catholic preferred, but not essential
* Exhibit excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
* Be a reflective practitioner with a strong commitment to professional growth
* Be a team player who is eager to contribute to the wider life of the school
