About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for delivering exceptional coffee operations from day one while building and developing a high-performing team.
Reporting to the Opening General Manager and forming part of the HQ leadership team, you will lead from the front, owning service, standards, and execution during launch, peak trading, and beyond.
You will operate within clearly defined systems and processes, ensuring all stock, sales, and operational data is accurately captured as a single source of truth. This role is central to defining how we deliver and scale coffee operations across future locations.
What Youll Be Doing
Operational Standards & Quality
Own all coffee operations, ensuring exceptional drink quality, consistency, and service standards across all trading periods. Manage workflow, pace, calibration, and equipment, acting as the final point of quality control during service.
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, and lead the barista team, setting clear expectations and maintaining high standards. Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and pride in performance.
Operational Management
Oversee rotas, team deployment, stock control, and ordering. Minimise waste, enforce cleaning routines, and maintain strong operational discipline. Ensure all stock movements and reporting are accurately recorded within the company's systems.
Commercial Performance
Take ownership of revenue performance, average transaction value, and operational efficiency. Actively manage labour, cost of goods, and waste to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
Customer Experience
Own the end-to-end coffee experience, ensuring service is engaging, efficient, and aligned with brand standards.
Future Development & Scale
Work closely with the GM to develop the coffee programme, and play a key role in building scalable systems, training frameworks, and future site rollouts.

Proven experience leading a high-end, high-volume coffee operation
Strong leadership and team development capability
Deep technical coffee knowledge and experience with traditional equipment
Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Strong commercial awareness across labour, stock, and waste
Calm, structured, and disciplined approach
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and peak trading periods
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: £32,000 £36,000 (DOE)
Bonus: Up to £6,000 based on performance, delivery, and operational standards
