Smile Education is working in partnership with a warm and welcoming primary school in Wednesbury to recruit an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support across Key Stage 2, with a particular focus on Lower KS2.
This is a full-time, long-term role beginning in January, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting teaching and learning. The role does not require planning responsibilities, making it an ideal position for a confident HLTA or a strong ECT looking to build classroom experience.
About the Role
Supporting teaching and learning across Lower KS2
Delivering small-group interventions and occasional whole-class cover
Working collaboratively with class teachers and the wider school team
Maintaining a positive, nurturing learning environment

HLTA qualification or strong experience in KS2
Confident in leading learning and managing a classroom
Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils
Reliable, passionate, and committed to pupil progress
