Scottish Historic Buildings Trust (SHBT) is recruiting for
two Project Officer positions
to support major heritage projects in Scotland:
* Bernat Klein Studio
* working with SHBT, the Bernat Klein Foundation and National Trust for Scotland to restore Peter Womersley's 1972 architectural masterpiece, supported by the
National Lottery Heritage Fund
.
* Leith Custom House
* developing the UK's first fully digital museum in one of the city's most significant historic buildings.
Both roles share the same terms:
* Salary:
£34,000 per annum
* Hours:
35 hours per week, fixed term one year (with likely extension depending on funding)

As Project Officer, you will:
* Support the delivery of major conservation and heritage projects, coordinating consultants, design teams and community partners.
* Assist with project planning, reporting and financial management.
* Contribute to research, feasibility studies, conservation planning, and business cases.
* Develop strong relationships with local communities, stakeholders and funders to ensure projects are ambitious, relevant and well-supported.
* Lead or support funding applications, including National Lottery Heritage Fund bids, and contribute to evaluation and reporting.
* Represent SHBT at meetings and events, promoting our work to partners, funders and the wider heritage sector.
* Provide engaging content to support communications and public engagement around projects.
These roles require:
* A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
* Proven experience in heritage, museums, architecture, conservation, or related fields.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams and meet deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidence presenting to a range of audiences.
* A collaborative and flexible approach, with enthusiasm for working with communities and external partners.
