Job description
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Dermatologist to deliver high-quality outpatient dermatology services across mixed patient cohorts. The successful candidate will manage both paediatric and adult patients, supporting urgent referral pathways and general dermatology care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dermatology consultations in 3- or 4-hour clinical sessions.
* Assess and manage:
o Under-18s and adult patients
o 2-Week-Wait (2WW) suspected cancer referrals
o MDT outcome follow-up patients
o General dermatology conditions
o Acne and systemic dermatology cases
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with governance standards.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and referral partners.
Essential Requirements
* GMC registration with a licence to practise.
* Entry on the Specialist Register for Dermatology (or within 6 months).
* Experience managing paediatric and adult dermatology patients.
* Familiarity with 2WW pathways and MDT processes.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
* Previous NHS or independent sector outpatient experience.
* Experience in acne/systemic therapies and paediatric dermatology
