Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health and Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our organisation's health and safety protocols. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies in line with legal requirements.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards.
* Lead investigations into accidents or incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
* Organise and deliver health and safety training programmes for staff at all levels.
* Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities through detailed report writing.
* Act as the primary point of contact for health and safety compliance audits and liaise with external regulatory bodies.
* Promote a culture of safety awareness across the organisation through communication campaigns and engagement initiatives.
* Ensure emergency preparedness plans are up-to-date, including first aid procedures and equipment maintenance.
Skills
* Proven experience in health and safety management within a similar environment.
* Strong report writing skills to document inspections, incidents, and compliance activities clearly and professionally.
* Expertise in root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues behind safety incidents.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills to engage colleagues at all levels and deliver training confidently.
* Knowledge of current health and safety legislation, standards, and best practices within the industry. Qualifications
* It is essential that applicants hold NEBOSH Diploma Occupational Health and Safety
* An environmental management certificate would be ideal

Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
