The Role
As a Lead Youth Worker Trainer, you will deliver engaging Level 3 Youth Work apprenticeship programmes, supporting learners who are working within youth services and community organisations.
You will guide apprentices through their learning journey, helping them build the knowledge and professional skills required to become effective Youth Support Workers and Youth Practitioners. Training will be delivered through a blended learning approach, combining online teaching, coaching sessions, progress reviews, and occasional face-to-face delivery.
Key responsibilities include:

Delivering high-quality apprenticeship training for Level 3 Youth Support Worker programmes

Supporting apprentices working in youth services, community organisations, and youth development settings
*
Delivering blended learning sessions, primarily online with occasional face-to-face delivery
*
Coaching learners through their youth work qualifications and professional development
*
Monitoring learner progress and providing personalised feedback and mentoring
*
Supporting apprentices with portfolio building and End Point Assessment preparation
*
Working closely with employers and workplace mentors to ensure apprentices meet apprenticeship standards
*
Contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement
*
Ensuring delivery meets quality assurance, Ofsted, and apprenticeship compliance standards

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have strong youth work experience alongside a passion for supporting learner development and professional training.
Essential
*
A JNC-recognised Youth Work qualification (Level 3 Diploma or Degree) or a degree in a related field such as Community Development or Social Work
*
At least one year of experience working within youth services or community-based youth work
*
Strong communication, mentoring, and coaching skills
*
Confidence delivering online or blended learning sessions
*
Good digital skills and ability to use online learning platforms
*
Ability and willingness to travel across the North of England when required
Desirable (but not essential)
*
A recognised Assessor or Tutor qualification such as CAVA, TAQA, AET, or equivalent
*
Experience delivering apprenticeships or vocational training programmes
*
Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and End Point Assessment processes
Exceptional candidates without a training qualification will be supported to achieve the necessary assessor credentials.
