We are currently seeking Associate Lecturers in Criminology to join the Department of Community, Social Justice and Health, part of the School of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Worcester. We particularly welcome applications from individuals with expertise in criminal justice practice, investigative psychology, and/or quantitative research methods.
Our students benefit from an outstanding learning experience, and we are looking for colleagues who can contribute to this through flexible, practical, and inspiring teaching and support. Successful applicants will join an enthusiastic, motivated team delivering both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The School of Health and Wellbeing comprises three departments and is guided by a commitment to developing a forward-thinking, dynamic, and creative academic community focused on personal growth and professional development in Criminology, Social Work, and Health.
These Criminology roles sit within a department known for its depth of expertise and collaborative ethos. For applicants looking to build experience in an academic setting, this is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and collegial environment. We uphold strong values of professionalism, respect, and inclusivity, and we invite applications from those who share these principles and want to contribute to our ongoing success. Further information about our staff profiles and research areas show our depth and breadth of experience and expertise.
For informal enquiries regarding the Criminology roles, please contact Amy Johnson, Programme Lead for Criminology, at: a.johnson@worc.ac.uk
Please note that this does not meet the minimum salary requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post who will require sponsorship to work in the UK.
Please note that if not already an employee of the University of Worcester, the appointed candidate will be employed through our subsidiary company Uniworc Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of University of Worcester. Appointees of Uniworc Limited will automatically be enrolled into the Aviva FlexHE defined contribution pension scheme (subject to earnings and other eligibility criteria).
