As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Summer Student to join our team at Cowick on a temporary summer placement.
You will be responsible for supporting our Life Sciences Sustainability team on internal and external projects and engagement to progress sustainability topics for Croda and our customers.

1. Studying degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Geography, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related fields
2. Keen interest in sustainability topics and what they mean for sustainable chemical manufacture and supply
3. Foundational knowledge and understanding of sustainability topics such as particularly Greenhous Gas (GHG) emissions and climate change
4. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with basic digital literacy
5. Ability to handle and interpret data
6. Strong attention to detail with analytical and critical thinking skills
7. Clear written and verbal communication
8. Organisational skills, with ability to manage tasks and deadlines
9. Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
10. Curiosity and willingness to learn
11. Knowledge or experience of GHG accounting and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculations and standards is desirable but not essential
12. Understanding or experience of chemical, agriculture, and/or pharmaceutical industries is desirable but not essential
What You’ll Be Doing:

13. Supporting the development and maintenance of our PCF data and it’s supply to customers
14. Coordinating internal and external requests to the Life Sciences Sustainability team
15. Supporting the management and creation of internal and external resources and marketing material on sustainability topics
16. Conducting data and market analysis
