Investigo are working with one of the leading property organisations in the UK with over £10Billion of mixed used real estate assets.
This Financial Controller position is responsible for the financial reporting for the key assets in the group and leading a small team of high performing financial accountants. This position requires a person with a passion for people management combined with the ability to streamline and improve a complex reporting structure.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the quarter-end and year-end close processes involving working closely with the commercial teams for management reporting information
* Provide relevant information for acquisition/disposals working alongside tax and treasury teams
* Review and lead on the financial statements and audit process for the half year and year end
* Lead a team of qualified accountants and ensure reporting deadlines/timelines are met
* Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
* Oversee the preparation for various SPVs under IFRS and UK GAAP
* Be primary contact for external auditors, and create schedules and improve processes
Key Requirements
* ACA/ACCA Qualified with 5+ years PQE
* Relevant working experience in a Real Asset environment
* Proven experience in working with complex group structures ideally within a listed organisation
* Top 10 audit trained background is desirable but not essential
* Proven ability to manage teams in excess of 5
* Strong Financial accounting experience with knowledge of preparing statutory accounting packs
