Guaranteed hours of work are 48 hours per week depending on location and rota. Hours and shifts include days, evenings, nights, and weekends with the option of overtime as required. You will also be required to be on the on-call rota. Shift rotation is 7 days on and 3 days off, then another 7 days on and 3 days off, followed by 4 days on and 4 days off. This means you will work only 2 weekends per month.
A flexible working approach is a must, as working away will be required.

Chevron Traffic Management sets up temporary road or lane closures, diversion routes, or pedestrian walkways to keep road workers and users safe during roadworks. This involves installing cones, signage, temporary traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, and barriers. Our work is visible across the country. Responsibilities of a 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative:
* Undertaking traffic counts, calls to clients and subcontractors, timings, and near misses.
* Maintaining temporary traffic lights
* Installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management equipment such as cones, signs, frames, and sandbags.
* Helping and guiding new trainees
What Good Looks Like for a 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative:
* SLG Unit 2 or M1 / M2 qualification at minimum
* 12d Lantra qualification is highly desirable but not essential
* Knowledge of Chapter 8
* Full driving license with no more than 6 points; any bans must have been expired for at least 5 years
* Able to pass a drug and alcohol test (your offer depends on this)
