Take on an Accountant role where you’re trusted with real responsibility, supported by experienced seniors, and given a clear route to progress.
You’ll join a modern, growing practice in Abingdon, working in a small group with other Senior Accountants and Client Advisers. Expect varied work across owner-managed and SME clients, strong processes, and a culture that values clarity, communication, and getting things right the first time.
You’ll be a key member of the team, responsible for:
* Preparing year-end and interim accounts for a mixed portfolio of SME clients
* Preparing corporation tax and Directors’ self-assessment returns
* Completing key reconciliations (payables, receivables, payroll, VAT)
* Producing clear working papers and supporting schedules
* Using Xero and other cloud tools to streamline client workflows
* Supporting annual review meetings for less complex clients and following up on actions
As you grow, you’ll increasingly lead on client communication, handle more complex jobs, and support the development of junior team members.

* Competitive salary, depending on experience
* Structured CPD and ongoing training – with a clear plan to keep you progressing
* Close support from senior staff via a pod-based structure
* Real variety in client work and growing exposure to more complex assignments
* Genuine progression prospects towards a more senior position as you develop
