We’re recruiting on behalf of a high-performing, inclusive secondary school in Birmingham, seeking a qualified ICT Teacher to join their thriving computing department in September 2025.

About the School

This is a welcoming, diverse, and high-achieving secondary school in Birmingham with a strong leadership team, supportive ethos, and well-established ICT department.
The school is proud of its inclusive values, with dedicated support for students with additional learning needs and a whole-school focus on digital innovation and student empowerment.

Teachers here are valued, supported, and given room to grow through a wide range of CPD opportunities, internal career progression routes, and a culture of collaboration and shared success.

About the Role

This is a full-time, with responsibility for delivering ICT and Computing across Key Stages 3 and 4. Depending on your experience and interests, there may also be the opportunity to contribute to Key Stage 5 teaching.

You’ll be expected to create a stimulating learning environment, plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons, and use data effectively to monitor and raise student achievement.

This role would suit both experienced ICT teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.

*

Deliver high-quality ICT and Computing lessons across KS3–KS4 (and potentially KS5).

*

Develop and adapt resources to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN and EAL.

*

Use a range of assessment methods to track progress and provide constructive feedback.

*

Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and student engagement.

*

Participate in departmental planning, moderation, and curriculum development.

*

Contribute to school life through enrichment, extra-curricular opportunities, or school events.

*

Engage fully with CPD and professional development, including mentoring or training if an ECT.

Requirements

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

*

A degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related subject.

*

Strong subject knowledge and a solid grasp of the UK National Curriculum for Computing.

*

A commitment to inclusive teaching and supporting students with special educational needs (SEN).

*

Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.

*

A positive, reflective attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.

*

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one) and suitable references.
