Live-In Home Help – Froome, Somerset
Location: Froome, Somerset, UK
Accommodation Provided | part-Time | 6 Days per Week
Start Date: July 2025, exact start date flexible
We are looking for a compassionate, experienced, and highly capable Live-In Home Help to join our family household in beautiful Froome, Somerset. This is a deeply meaningful and essential role supporting a warm, close-knit family comprised of a busy single mother (CEO and founder of a fast-paced US-based company), two kind and independent children (aged 10 and 11), and a physically disabled elderly mother requiring high levels of care and emotional support.
Your Role:
You will be an integral part of the household, helping to maintain a calm, healthy, and nurturing environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:
•Elderly Care: Providing day-to-day personal care, companionship, and emotional support to an elderly woman who is bed-bound and experiences emotional distress.
•Child Support: Ensuring the children are fed, supported in their evening routines, and guided gently when needed—particularly during the evenings, as their mother works overnight hours.
•Home Management: Keeping the household running smoothly with high attention to detail, including daily cleaning, laundry, and general tidying.
•Cooking: Preparing healthy, nutritious meals for the family.
•Other Duties: Occasional errands, organizing the home, liaising with any service providers, and generally helping ensure a peaceful, well-run household.
What We’re Looking For:
•Significant experience running complex, busy homes—ideally with multigenerational family dynamics.
•A strong sense of patience, compassion, and emotional intelligence, particularly in caring for the elderly.
•Confidence in cooking wholesome, healthy meals.
•Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
•A nurturing and calm demeanor; someone the children can feel comfortable with and the family can rely on.
•A proactive, can-do attitude—someone who takes initiative and adapts well to changing needs.
•A driver is preferred but not essential.
