The Infrastructure Architect plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions that support both cloud-based and on-premises applications and services. This role involves gathering business and technical requirements, creating and implementing Azure-related infrastructure designs, and ensuring compliance with design and security standards. The Infrastructure Architect acts as the subject matter expert in infrastructure technologies, supporting implementation teams and ensuring successful delivery of solutions that align with business objectives.
In addition to working closely with stakeholders and project teams, the Infrastructure Architect ensures that all solutions are documented, transitioned seamlessly to operational support, and aligned with enterprise-wide architectural strategies.

What you’ll be doing?
* Gather business and technical requirements for infrastructure solutions
* Define, own, and implement high- and low-level Azure-related infrastructure designs to support deployment of cloud-based and on-premises applications/services
* Ensure the completeness of infrastructure technical designs, incorporating non-functional requirements such as security, scalability, and performance
* Work with implementation teams to ensure delivered solutions align with customer and stakeholder requirements
* Enforce architectural governance, security, and compliance standards
* Act as the subject matter expert for Azure-based infrastructure solutions
* Ensure seamless handover of solutions to support teams through proper documentation and knowledge sharing
* Work closely with the architects, and other IT teams to align infrastructure solutions with overall technology roadmaps
* Drive continuous improvement and recommend enhancements to existing architectures
* Optimise the balance between innovation, cost efficiency, and scalability
Who are we looking for?
* Extensive experience in enterprise network design and infrastructure solutions, with a preference for Azure expertise
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL architecture and integration of core infrastructure technologies
* Experience with Linux architecture and its integration with Active Directory
* Proficiency in implementing identity & access and privilege management strategies at an enterprise scale
* Knowledge of network authentication protocols such as 802.1x
* Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and other virtualization technologies
* Familiarity with modern infrastructure methodologies, including hybrid cloud models, PaaS, and SaaS
* Ability to translate business needs into infrastructure solutions
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess technical trade-offs and make informed decisions
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders
