Description
It's an exciting time to join the Digital team here at AXA Health, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform and deliver new digital services to our customers, and to streamline and automate our business processes. We're looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join our Engineering team, to help deliver our digital roadmap, develop our people and capabilities, and support our engineering strategy to drive improvements across all teams.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a product-led operating model. In this model, all our teams align with value streams, which means that we have the necessary resources to take an idea from conception to completion with minimal handoffs. Our current focus is on developing our Single Digital Platform, based on Salesforce, involving a significant .NET estate, use of Azure services, and React frontend web applications.
As a Test Engineer, you will learn about recent technology trends and influence the organization to make the right choices. Our engineers are highly collaborative, respect opinions, and strive for continual improvement. You will contribute to our motivating atmosphere, where people feel energized and enthusiastic about achieving common goals.
At AXA, we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. This could mean working from your assigned local office or traveling for business. Our local office locations include Leeds, Middlesbrough, Bristol, Tunbridge Wells, and Bournemouth. We also offer flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
What you'll be doing:
1. Work as part of an Agile delivery team, using your skills to identify bugs early in the SDLC.
2. Work closely with development teams to streamline handovers and define completion criteria.
3. Manage automated test pipelines, seeking ways to increase test reliability and coverage.
4. Join our AXA Health Test Guild and be part of a community of test professionals.
Due to high application volume, we may close this advert early. If you're interested, please apply promptly.
What you'll bring:
* Experience testing web frontends and APIs.
* Creative and exploratory manual testing skills.
* Hands-on experience with automated testing in .NET and React stacks.
* Experience working in an Agile environment.
* Ability to conduct non-functional testing (Compatibility, Accessibility, Performance).
* Azure pipelines experience is desirable.
* Experience with Playwright, BrowserStack, Percy, K6, or Axe DevTools is desirable.
You must be eligible to work in the UK to be considered.
What we offer:
Competitive salary up to £50,000, annual bonus, pension scheme, life assurance, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, options to buy/sell leave, employee discounts, gym benefits.
