Join a department that has advanced the use of distributed simulation in weapon system design and development. We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and passionate Technical Project Lead/Engineering Manager to join our Weapons Systems Simulation and Experimentation team!
Salary: Up to £65,000, depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: typically, 3 days per week on-site, due to workload classification

The opportunity:
The team integrates real products, models, and synthetic environments for visualization, demonstrations, verification & validation, training, and support.
The successful candidate will use agile methodologies to lead the development of simulation components for MBDA's weapon systems, guiding a multidisciplinary team and leveraging synthetic environments for systems exploration and development. We utilize IEEE and military standards to exploit various environments and visualization tools to deliver:
* Demonstrators (SE representations of weapon systems)
* System Simulators (Operator in the Loop environments)
* Emulators (early system representations supporting integration and proving)
* Training Simulators (User and Maintenance demonstrations)
* Experimentation (Performance in context, system of systems)
We develop real-time software components, including hardware integration, to simulate weapon systems using agile scrum methodologies.

You will be responsible for a multidisciplinary team, delivering innovative solutions using the latest technologies to support MBDA across the project lifecycle. We seek individuals capable of delivering complex solutions while balancing technical benefits, costs, and operational constraints.
Ideally, you will demonstrate:
* A proven record of delivering software and/or hardware solutions for simulated and synthetic environments
* Project management experience using agile principles
* Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
