Role Purpose Provide exceptional nursing care to paediatric patients while leading a team of nurses and support staff. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care in line with HCA Healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care across inpatient and outpatient paediatric settings.
Conduct clinical assessments, administer medications, and perform nursing interventions.
Monitor patient conditions, escalate concerns, and respond to emergencies.
Ensure compliance with infection control, safeguarding, and paediatric care standards.
Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff, student nurses, and healthcare assistants.
Provide guidance on clinical decision-making and professional development.
Act as a role model for safe, patient-centred care.
Collaborate with paediatric consultants, doctors, therapists, and allied health professionals.
Participate in ward rounds, care planning, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Communicate effectively with families and carers, providing education and support.
Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to audits, incident reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
Promote safeguarding, child protection, and patient well-being.
Maintain NMC registration and engage in ongoing CPD, clinical supervision, and reflective practice.
Contribute to service development and implementation of best practices.
