Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated middle office IT professional to join our Production Support team in Belfast. The team provides technical and business support for booking, reconciliation and settlement‐facing applications that enable front‑office operations with external clients. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, quick issue resolution, and continuous improvement of stability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Previous experience within an Application Support role.
* Support applications hosted within a Unix environment.
* Database SQL knowledge and good all‑round technical skills.
* Experience with one or more programming languages and willingness to learn.
* Adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
* Multi‑task and problem‑solve with sharp analytical skills.
* Effective communication; build relationships and explain technical issues to non‑IT staff.
* Passion for continuous learning and improvement.
* Statistical and analytical mindset, proactive ingenuity, and creativity.
* Attention to detail and strong teamwork.
* Experience delivering effective Change, Incident and Problem Management.
Other Desirable Experience and Qualifications
* Experience with ITRS Geneos Monitoring and ServiceNow.
* Background in a financial organization.
* Production support for franchise‑critical applications.
* ITIL knowledge and certifications.
* Knowledge of FIX Protocol.
