Estimator - Residential Construction
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a successful and expanding housebuilding team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in producing land appraisals and pricing residential developments of varying size and complexity.
We're looking for a self-motivated individual who thrives working both independently and collaboratively with land and commercial teams. You'll play a key role in maintaining a competitive cost database and supporting the business through accurate and timely cost planning.

Key requirements:
6. Experience within housebuilding or the wider construction industry
7. Ability to produce internal Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
8. Computer literate with strong Excel and measurement software skills
9. Highly organised and deadline-driven
10. Able to work on own initiative and prioritise effectively
11. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-focused mindset
12. Full UK driving licence
13. Committed to maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the role
Desirable experience:
14. Knowledge of roads, sewers, and infrastructure
15. Familiarity with COINS land module software
16. Experience using Bluebeam for measurement
Role responsibilities include:
17. Initial review of tender opportunities for accuracy and viability
18. Developing measurement and pricing strategies
19. Attending site visits with the pre-construction team
20. Preparing enquiry schedules alongside the buying team
21. Liaising with supply chain partners during the tender process
22. Performing internal take-offs and measurements using Bluebeam
23. Leading supply chain review meetings
24. Supporting value engineering and cost planning
25. Producing project pricing comparisons and documents for handover meetings
26. Completing site development appraisals and reviewing planning/S106 implications
27. Modelling financial scenarios to support acquisition and planning stages
