Recruit4staff are representing an expanding food production business in their search for a Food Production Operatives to work in Wrexham.
Compensation
* This role is paying the following (inclusive of shift allowance):
o 6am–2pm Monday to Friday: £12.53 per hour
o 2pm–10pm Monday to Friday: £13.67 per hour
o 10pm–6am Sunday to Thursday: £14.81 per hour
* Duration: Temp-to-perm position with the possibility to go permanent
* Additional pay: £12.21 per hour for a temporary to permanent role in Whitchurch
Job Role
As a Food Production Operative you will be responsible for operating machinery, packing and labelling food products, and loading ingredients into machines. You will work as part of a fast‑paced team maintaining high standards of cleanliness and production accuracy.
Responsibilities
* Packing
* Cutting blocks of cheese to specified sizes
* Palletising
* Unboxing products
* Heavy lifting up to 20kg
* Quality checking
* Deal with any rejects from the production lines
* Follow food and hygiene regulations on site
* Work with a team of around 6‑8 people
* Supervise the correct running of the various machines ensuring quality finished product
* Maintain daily/weekly cleaning documents
Essential Skills, Experience or Qualifications
* Good attendance record
* Must be able to complete/read labels and paperwork when required – ESSENTIAL
* Must be comfortable with heavy lifting up to 20KG – ESSENTIAL
* Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry – HIGHLY DESIRABLE
* Picking/packing/palletising experience – DESIRABLE
Advantageous Skills, Experience or Qualifications
* Previous experience in a food production environment
