I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in the Bridgwater area. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior commercial role within a long-term, high-value programme that offers stability, progression and real impact.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial lead responsibility for a significant package of works. Your duties will include:
* Full commercial management from procurement through to final accounts
* Cost forecasting, reporting and budget management
* Managing subcontractor packages, valuations and payments
* Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risks
* Working closely with operational and project teams to ensure smooth delivery
* Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
What You’ll Need
* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS on civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or large construction projects
* Strong commercial and contractual understanding (NEC experience advantageous)
* Ability to manage multiple packages and deadlines confidently
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Chartered or working toward chartership (RICS / ICES / CIOB) desirable
