Description
The role of Specialist Transport Planner - Heavy Haulage will involve:
* The efficient planning of all heavy haulage solutions.
* Being the main point of contact for all heavy haulage and escort drivers.
* Submission of all route notifications relevant to STGO (Category 3).
* Planning for any rail-based customers.
* Working closely with the project team to ensure successful planning and completion of all jobs.
* Resolving any issues for drivers or customers regards heavy haulage.
Profile
A successful Specialist Transport Planner - Heavy Haulage will need:
* Excellent transport planning experience (3 years minimum).
* A background in planning for abnormal loads and route notifications.
* Strong IT skills, particularly with TMS.
* Excellent problem solving skills.
* Advanced communication skills (internal and customer).
Desirable:
* OLAT trained or Transport Management CPC (desirable).
* Familiarity with STGO Regulations.
* Understanding of technical drawings.
