Payroll Administrator
At Morgan Lloyd our pension scheme client base continues to grow rapidly, we have recently formed a dedicated Payroll Team to ensure clients receive their pension payments accurately and on time. Having appointed a Payroll Team Leader to establish this function, we are now looking for a Payroll Administrator to join the team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and detail-focused individual to build a career in a specialist area. While previous payroll experience is helpful, it is by no means essential. We are primarily looking for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work to deadlines while handling client information sensitively and professionally.
You will work closely with the Payroll Team Leader, who will oversee and manage the function but also provide support and mentoring as you learn.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day processing and administration
· Prepare and process client drawdown payments using our payroll software and internal systems
· Maintain accurate client records and update data promptly
· Handle client and adviser queries efficiently and professionally
· Ensure tasks are completed in line with deadlines and service standards
· Assist with reporting and reconciliation tasks under guidance from the Team Leader
· Support the wider administration team with ad-hoc queries relating to tax or payroll information
Working with the Team Leader
· Flag any issues, discrepancies or potential risks promptly
· Assist in refining processes to improve accuracy and efficiency
· Learn from and contribute to the development of best practices within the team
What we're looking for
· Excellent attention to detail – accuracy is vital when dealing with client payments and tax information
· Highly organised – able to manage your workload and meet deadlines reliably
· Strong communication skills – comfortable liaising with advisers, colleagues, and clients in a professional manner
· Team player – willing to collaborate, take feedback and support others when needed
· Proactive and responsive – takes ownership of tasks and keeps things moving without prompting
· Good with numbers and data – confident using IT systems, with strong general administrative ability
· Payroll experience is welcome but not essential – full training will be provided
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
