About The Role
Cherrywood – Elderslie Area
£12.82 per hour
25 hours per week (Waken Night Shift – 9.30pm – 7.30am)
Are you interested in working for an award‑winning social care charity?
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants, but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be.
Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as a Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling, or positive behavioural support while expanding their social networks and connections.
Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.
The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me
The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and share the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with Enable is as rewarding as it is diverse. Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.
Cherrywood Overview
Cherrywood is a care home with two bungalows next to each other, accommodating 9 service users (4 in one bungalow and 5 in the other). We are based in Elderslie Johnston area.
We are out every day and night on outings. We also enjoy short breaks mainly to centre parks; the guys also enjoy going to the Hydro for different concerts and outings for meals. In‑house activities include massages, music groups, baking classes and going for walks. We love to sit outside and have lunch there weather permitting.
We love themed nights and discos where we get to play games and dance to music. Saturday night is our favourite – we like to listen to GBX and have the disco lights on and party. This is also a take‑away night with a buffet and fizzy juice.
Help Transform Lives
Cherrywood is looking for enthusiastic Project Workers who can help to make a real difference to the people who live here and enjoy a busy, fast‑paced service.
