Stores Manager | Supplies Department | Sutton Coldfield | Excellent Benefits

Spire Little Aston Hospital are looking for an experienced Stores Manager to join our established department. This is a permanent role on a 37.5 hour per week contract, to manage all aspects of stock control at Spire Little Aston Hospital to meet business needs in relation to patient volumes and financial requirements.

Spire Little Aston Hospital is a leading private hospital in the Midlands, offering comprehensive hospital care to patients from Birmingham and the surrounding areas of the West Midlands and Staffordshire. The hospital has an exceptional reputation within a variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, Sports & Exercise Medicine, Cosmetics, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology, General Surgery & Physiotherapy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage your team to carry out top up count for departments, ensuring there is sufficient stock available at all times
2. Ensure that all Consignment agreements are in place, signed and are correct.
3. Order stock for all hospital departments and continually review PAR levels to maintain stock and cost control.
4. Raise requests to purchase, for all stock not held at the NDC, for all departments.
5. Responsibility for ensuring the correct purchase order policy is followed throughout the hospital and the necessary approvals gained.
6. Ensure that Bills on Hold are dealt with in a timely manner.
7. Manage all stock, order, invoice and delivery queries, ensuring all queries are cleared on a weekly basis.
8. To comply with all Health & Safety at Work regulations including COSHH, where applicable, whilst being aware of corporate and local safety policies
9. Ensure compliance with Company rules for capital expenditure purchases, ensuring correct number of quotations, purchasing and tracking progress.

Who we're looking for:

10. Previous experience of stock management essential
11. NVQ 2/3 General Warehouse and Distribution desirable but not essential
12. Experience in the field of healthcare supplies desirable
13. Hospital experience preferred
14. Knowledge of range of healthcare products preferred
15. Good telephone and communication skills
16. The job holder will require to demonstrate tact and diplomacy, and have the ability to exercise negotiation and influencing skills
17. Commercial/financial awareness is essential.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm Occasional evenings and weekends if need. Duty Manager rota

Contract Type: Permanent, 37.5 hours
