Depot Manager (Heavy Plant Hire) | Northwich | £45,000 | Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm Are you an experienced leader in plant hire or transport operations? We're looking for a hands-on Depot Manager to run a busy and growing depot for a leading heavy plant company based in Northwich. Salary: £45,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Location: Northwich, Cheshire About the Role: As Depot Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the depot - overseeing plant equipment, coordinating logistics, managing staff, and ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of plant machinery and transport coordination, who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all depot activities including transport, logistics, maintenance, and plant hire operations Ensure the safe and efficient movement and servicing of all plant machinery Manage and motivate a team of drivers, fitters, and yard staff Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and collections Monitor equipment usage, availability, and maintenance schedules Maintain high standards of health & safety and compliance across the site Report on depot performance, costs, and KPIs to senior management What We're Looking For: ✅ Proven experience in a Depot Manager, Transport Manager, or Operations Manager role ✅ Solid understanding of plant equipment and transport logistics ✅ Strong leadership and communication skills ✅ Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities ✅ Knowledge of relevant compliance, HGV regulations, and health & safety standards What's on Offer: Competitive salary of £45,000 Stable Monday to Friday working hours Opportunity to lead a well-established depot with a reputable company Long-term career prospects in a growing business
